This composition really draws me in. The lighting is about as close to perfect as it gets. It makes me want to see more. Warm, yet clean. Leading lines and the rule of thirds are used effectively. This months contest has some really standout entries and this one is definetly one of the best.

This one stood out from the thumbnails which is always a good sign. The composition just works so well. Also the lighting is perfect. Really top work.

The sunlight on the floor adds character to this shot and draws the viewer into the room with the fireplace. Very nicely presented!

I agree what the others have stated, finally a shot that is too super wide!!! Here are my nitpicks. Add back some shadow on the side of the bed facing the camera, the hall way is lit just a little too much (Maybe bounce into the ceiling to soften that light) and in the adjoining sitting area take down the brightness a smidge in the upper left. Nice work!

Very nice! Agree with all that’s been said about the composition…it’s so engaging. Great focal length. Love the way the left half of the shot is lit. Agree with Ethan about the lighting on the bed and in the hall, though. Makes me wonder if bringing more shadow/definition to the bed would help to sort of ‘ground’ the lower right part of the shot a bit more? Also, would like to see a more consistent look to the paint color on the wall surrounding the lamp and headboard. Incredibly nitpicky thing: wish the lampshade were not intersecting the edge of the wall.

Not much to add here to the comments that have already been made. I think this is definitely a top contender this month, despite the minor misgivings that I have about the shot that have already been detailed by Ethan and Julie. Very nice work!

This image stood out for me too! I like the texture on the bed and the warm colours throughout. I find the bright lighting in the adjoining room a little distracting. Good work though!

Excellent image! So much to like about this. I do find it a bit strange that there is a table with a plant directly in front of the fireplace. I would have been inclined to remove it.
